Do you want to achieve your vision?
I’m going to assume that’s a YES!
A successful person is far more likely to engage a coach than a less successful person. This is true in sports, business, fitness and health, and life in general. It’s not rocket science – I learned many many years ago that success leaves clues and it’s there for you to find. Coaches, mentors, whatever – it works.
Coaches and mentors can be hard to find, they can be hard to pay for too!
The key to the success in coaching is simply getting to the point of being clear about what you want, documenting that vision, and taking daily steps down that path. Revisiting that initial vision often, reworking your plan, getting active on your positive tasks. Lots of small steps.
You might not need a coach after all. You might just need to enlist a friend to become your accountability partner. This person sits in as you describe your vision, listens to you, and then you report back to them each week about the actions you intend to take, and what you did or did not do. Simple process – but incredibly powerful. Just writing things down and then having to answer to someone increases your chance of success a LOT!
Give it some thought. Anything that can help move you towards your vision rather than away has to be worth considering. Make sure you pick someone who is a good listener, and can ask a few probing questions too when you feed back your results each week. Partner up with someone also if you like – become each others accountability partners. It works!!
